Did Washington County’s graduation rate rise or fall in 2021-22 school year?

Graduation rates in Washington County schools fell 1.8% from the previous school year, according to the New York State Education Department.

There were 3,087 students who graduated in the 2021-22 school year, compared to 3,146 in the previous year.

Washington County had the state's sixth lowest graduation rate with just 84.5% graduating, while Nassau County boasted the highest rate, with 95.3% of students graduating in the 2021-22 school year.

In 2022, New York had roughly one teacher for every 12 students, which is better than the national average of one teacher for every 16 students.
