4 Steps to Food Safety | Facebook
Feasting with family & friends is part of many holiday celebrations.
Follow these tips to help prevent food poisoning, or foodborne illness, during the holidays:
- Keep foods separated
- Cook food thoroughly
- Keep food out of the “danger zone” between 40
-140 degrees Fahrenheit
- Use pasteurized eggs for dishes containing raw eggs
- Do not eat raw dough or batter
- Thaw your turkey safely
- Wash your hands often especially before, during, and after preparing food
Following four simple steps at home – Clean, Separate, Cook, and Chill – can help protect you and your loved ones from food poisoning during the holiday season.
