14.7 percent of Skidmore College students played sports on university teams in 2017-2018

In 2017-2018, 14.7 percent of Skidmore College students participated in collegiate sports, according to data made available by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

Skidmore College has 2,612 undergraduate students, of which 61 percent are women and 39 percent are men, and a total student body of 2,613 students. Of these students, 199 men and 185 women represented the school by participating in one or more of the sports with teams at the school.

This total does not include students playing intramural sports.

According to NCES, 8.7 percent of students enrolled at institutions of higher education with sports teams were on teams.

The sports at Skidmore College with the most participants are lacrosse (72), soccer (56) and swimming and diving (35).
