Assemblyman Matt Simpson extended a warm welcome to the Northville varsity girls soccer team at the Assembly floor in Albany. The visit celebrated the team's recent achievement of winning their first state championship in girls soccer. In November, the Falcons secured a victory against Copenhagen with a narrow 1-0 scoreline in the Class D state championship.
Simpson expressed his admiration for the team, stating, “Congratulations to these young ladies! This is a tremendous accomplishment. I know everyone who was a part of this special run will cherish these memories for a lifetime. Well done!”
The assemblyman's acknowledgment highlights the significance of sports achievements and community support for local teams.
