Making Smart Choices and Driving Safe Message Presented to HS Students
Ballston Spa High School seniors will be presented with a safe driving message during the days before the Senior Prom on June 3, 2022, to encourage them to avoid crashes caused by distracted or impaired driving. A simulated crash demonstration will take place on May 25, 2022 in front of the school in the bus loop. Several students, as well as various emergency responders will be participating in the event. An emergency helicopter from LifeNet of New York is also scheduled to transport the “victims." The event will begin at 9:45 am on Wednesday morning and is being coordinated by BSHS Principal Dr. Gianleo Duca and Deputy Jonathon Becker, the School Resource Officer, with assistance from Saratoga County Sheriff Michael Zurlo. Please help to inform students about making smart choices and to drive safely in the coming days/weeks as the school year concludes.
