Senator Dan Stec has expressed his views on the sentencing of former President Donald J. Trump, characterizing the legal proceedings as politically motivated. In a statement, Senator Stec criticized what he perceives as a biased approach by Democrats in handling the case.

"From start-to-finish, the prosecution and sentencing of President Trump has transparently been a political persecution from radical Democrats who have no business overseeing the criminal justice system," said Senator Stec.

He further alleged that there was an attempt to prevent Trump's participation in last year's election through "the weaponization of law enforcement and scurrilous charges." According to Stec, these efforts were unsuccessful and culminated in a sentencing process led by "a donor to President Biden."

Senator Stec emphasized his belief that the American public recognizes these actions as unjust. "It’s been clear all along that the American people have seen through this ruse," he stated. He also noted Trump's re-election victory as evidence of public support for the former president despite ongoing legal challenges.

Stec concluded by asserting that while Democrats allegedly misuse the legal system for their political aims, "the truth and the American people stand with President Trump."
