Senator Jim Tedisco recently joined the celebration of Esfir Dolginova's 102nd birthday in Niskayuna, New York. He honored her with a citation from the New York State Senate.
Esfir Dolginova emigrated to the United States from Russia in 1993, along with her husband and family. She is a survivor of the siege of Leningrad during World War II, which remains one of the longest military sieges recorded.
Dolginova was married for 75 years and has a large family that includes two daughters, four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
