199 seniors over 79 who were in US test positive for COVID-19 during week ending September 7

There were 199 seniors over 79 who were in the United States tested positive for COVID-19 during the week ending September 7, according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

Out of those who provided figures, 60 individuals were hospitalized and 13 were admitted to the ICU. The gender breakdown was 33 percent male and 67 percent female.

The American Academy of Pediatrics and the Children's Hospital Association stated that in the United States, children represent about 9 percent of all COVID-19 cases. The Mayo Clinic points out that children of all ages can contract COVID-19 but most don’t become as ill as adults and some show no symptoms at all.
