Representative Elise Stefanik, who has served in the U.S. Congress representing New York’s 21st district since 2015, recently shared her thoughts on prayer, military service, and religious freedom on the social platform X.
On May 1, 2025, Rep. Stefanik expressed her support for national unity through prayer in a post that reflects her view on the role of faith in America. She stated, “Today, we bow our heads, lift our hearts, and pray boldly—for our families, our freedoms, and this great nation under God.” She emphasized the importance of prayer in leading the nation forward.
In another post on the same day, Stefanik paid tribute to the military personnel who have served the United States. She remarked, “We honor the brave men and women who serve, have served, and continue to protect our nation and defend our freedoms. #NY21” This message underscores her respect for the military and its essential role in safeguarding the nation.
Later, on the National Day of Prayer, she reiterated her commitment to religious freedom, referencing policies introduced under former President Donald Trump. She stated, “Today, on the National Day of Prayer, we commit to protecting religious freedom for every American.” She highlighted Trump’s executive orders aimed at combating religious bias, specifically antisemitism and anti-Christian sentiment.
Elise Stefanik, who was born in Albany, New York, in 1984 and currently resides in Schuylerville, is a Harvard University alumna with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
