Simpson issues statement on passing of Charlie Kirk

State Representative Matthew Simpson has issued a statement mourning the death of Charlie Kirk. In his remarks, Simpson described Kirk as “a passionate voice for our values and a tireless advocate for young Americans. His energy and dedication inspired many, and his impact will not be forgotten.”

Simpson extended condolences to Kirk’s family, saying, “My prayers are with his wife, Erika and their young children during this heartbreaking time. No words can ease their loss, but we stand with them and lift them up in our thoughts.”

He also addressed the circumstances surrounding Kirk’s death by stating, “Political violence, no matter your political beliefs, is unacceptable and must be condemned. We must reject hate and work to protect our communities while continuing the important conversations Charlie cared so deeply about.”
