Assemblyman Matt Simpson has announced that more than $100,000 in state funding will be allocated to library construction and renovation projects in his district. The funding comes from the New York State Education Department and New York State Library as part of the FY 2024-2025 State Budget.

Two libraries will benefit from this support. The Northville Public Library is set to receive $71,431 for modernization efforts aimed at improving accessibility and safety throughout its building. The Caldwell-Lake George Library will obtain $37,068 for interior renovations, including upgrades to restroom accessibility.

“This is fantastic news for these two libraries. This investment from the New York State Education Department’s Library Construction Program will help ensure they continue to serve our residents and visitors right here in the Adirondacks for years to come,” Simpson said.

The funding aims to help these libraries continue serving local residents and visitors by supporting important facility updates.
