Assemblyman Matt Simpson and Senator Jim Tedisco hosted sixth-grade students from Corinth Central School District at the New York State Capitol for an educational tour. The visit gave students a chance to explore the Capitol, learn about how state government operates, and interact with their elected representatives.
Simpson expressed his appreciation for the visit, stating, “It was a pleasure welcoming the bright and curious sixth graders from Corinth to Albany today. I enjoyed their questions and sharing stories with the senator. These are our future leaders, and investing time in their civic education is one of the best things we can do for our state. Thank you to the students and teachers from Corinth for making the trip down to Albany!”
The event was part of efforts by local legislators to promote civic education among young people.
