Rep. Elise Stefanik, a U.S. Congress member representing New York’s 21st District since 2015, recently shared her views and initiatives on various issues through a series of tweets. Born in Albany, New York, in 1984, Stefanik is an alumna of Harvard University and currently resides in Schuylerville.
On May 5, 2025, Rep. Stefanik celebrated National Small Business Week by acknowledging the role of small businesses in her district. She stated that “Small businesses in #NY21 are the backbone of our economy by driving economic growth and creating jobs.” She expressed pride in supporting small business workers who contribute significantly to their communities.
The following day, May 6, she addressed issues related to Harvard University. In a tweet posted at 15:40 UTC, she aligned with Secretary McMahon’s critique of Harvard for allegedly fostering antisemitic radicals and failing to maintain academic standards despite its substantial endowment and taxpayer support. She declared “I was proud to lead the effort to remove their failed president.”
Later that same day at 16:26 UTC, Rep. Stefanik expressed her support for nurses working within her district. She acknowledged their daily sacrifices and emphasized her commitment to advocating for resources and support for nurses and hospitals throughout #NY21 by stating “I will always fight for our nurses and hospitals.”
Elise Stefanik has served as a representative for New York’s 21st District since succeeding Bill Owens in 2015.
