On Friday, Feb. 28, former Saratoga Springs High School standout Christian Mello’s current college team, the Albany Great Danes, won 9-8 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Longwood Lancers.

The game took place at Buddy Bolding Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Lancers this season.

The Great Danes’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 1 at 12 p.m. at Buddy Bolding Stadium against Longwood Lancers.
