On Friday, Feb. 28, former Shenendehowa High School standout Emily Baumes’ current college team, the UMass-Lowell River Hawks, lost 1-0 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Norfolk State Spartans.

The game took place at NSU Softball Field. This was their second matchup against the Spartans this season.

The River Hawks’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 1 at 12 p.m. at Lady Pirates Softball Stadium against Hampton Lady Pirates.
