Rep. Elise Stefanik, a U.S. Congress member representing New York’s 21st district since 2015, recently shared her thoughts and initiatives on social media. Born in Albany, New York, and currently residing in Schuylerville, Stefanik has been vocal about educational and sports-related issues affecting her constituency.
On May 6, 2025, Rep. Stefanik expressed gratitude for teachers on National Teacher’s Day through a tweet: “Happy National Teacher’s Day! The incredible teachers all across #NY21 go above and beyond every single day for our students. We are extremely grateful for them.”
Later that day, she reaffirmed her commitment to the education sector by announcing an investigation into the Saratoga Springs City School following her advocacy efforts: “I will always stand up for NY students, parents, and families and am proud to deliver results to Upstate NY! After my strong public advocacy, the U.S. Department of Education Secretary Linda McMahon (@EDSecMcMahon) announced an investigation into the Saratoga Springs City School.”
In another post on the same day, Rep. Stefanik highlighted her support for protecting women’s sports in collaboration with former President Donald Trump: “I am proud to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with President @realDonaldTrump in this important effort to protect women’s sports in upstate New York. #NY21”
