Rep. Elise Stefanik, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing New York’s 21st district, has recently shared her thoughts on significant national issues through a series of tweets. Stefanik, who replaced Bill Owens in 2015 and is a Harvard University graduate, took to social media to discuss topics ranging from global trade policies to domestic law enforcement and healthcare reforms.
On May 12, 2025, Rep. Stefanik tweeted about President Donald Trump’s efforts in restructuring global trade policies. She stated that “President @realDonaldTrump is successfully restructuring global trade to put America First by standing up to Communist China and so-called economic ‘experts’ who predicted doomsday scenarios.” According to her post, Trump’s vision and negotiation strategies are pivotal in this endeavor.
In another tweet posted shortly after on the same day, Rep. Stefanik extended her gratitude during National Police Week. She expressed appreciation for law enforcement officers across New York and the nation by saying “Happy National Police Week to all our law enforcement officers all across New York and our nation who serve with courage, dignity, and unwavering commitment!” She emphasized their sacrifices in facing danger and protecting communities.
Later that day, she highlighted President Trump’s signing of an Executive Order aimed at reducing drug prices for American families through Most Favored Nation pricing. Her tweet noted that “President Trump just signed a historic Executive Order lowering drug prices for American families with Most Favored Nation pricing.” She criticized past practices where Americans subsidized cheaper drugs for Europe and indicated ongoing Republican efforts towards healthcare reform.
Elise Stefanik was born in Albany, New York in 1984 and currently resides in Schuylerville.
