Rep. Elise Stefanik, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing New York’s 21st district, has shared updates on her recent engagements and legislative priorities through a series of tweets.
On May 14, 2025, Rep. Stefanik tweeted about her meeting with the Trucking Association of New York. She discussed key issues affecting the trucking industry such as workforce shortages, workforce development solutions, and supply chain challenges.
Later that day, she expressed her concerns regarding the education system across New York state. In another tweet posted on May 14, 2025, she stated: “Like nearly all parents across New York state, I am deeply concerned about our failing education system and schools.” She highlighted her involvement in leading the Educational Choice for Children Act aimed at expanding school choice and improving educational quality.
Additionally, Rep. Stefanik met with representatives from the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA), including constituents from her district. In a tweet dated May 14, 2025, she mentioned discussing their need for seasonal H2B visas and tax deductions to promote tourism in New York’s 21st District: “It was a pleasure to meet with the @AHLA…to discuss their need for seasonal H2B visas…”
Elise Stefanik has served in Congress since replacing Bill Owens in 2015. Born in Albany in 1984 and currently residing in Schuylerville at age 38, she graduated from Harvard University with an AB degree.
