Elise Stefanik, a U.S. Congress member representing New York’s 21st District since 2015, shared her views on social media regarding various political issues. Born in Albany, New York, and a Harvard University graduate, Stefanik has been an active voice in the U.S. Congress.
On May 7, 2025, Stefanik criticized Letitia James in a tweet: “Letitia James is a corrupt, out-of-control political hack who weaponized the law to attack President Trump and silence his success. Now she’s the one under investigation—for mortgage fraud. President Trump is right: She’s a disaster for New York and a disgrace to her office.” This statement reflects her disapproval of James’ actions against former President Trump.
Later that day, Stefanik announced her participation in a hearing by tweeting: “NOW: Tune into @EdWorkforceCmte hearing on ‘Beyond the Ivy League: Stopping the Spread of Antisemitism on American Campuses.’ I’ll question faculty from several universities on the spread of Antisemitism on American campuses.” The hearing aimed to address antisemitism in educational institutions.
In another tweet from May 7, 2025, Stefanik expressed concerns about leadership at Haverford College: “WATCH: I questioned Haverford College President Wendy Raymond on her failure of leadership and the scourge of Antisemitism within her institution during the @EdWorkforceCmte hearing.” Her focus was on addressing antisemitic incidents at this college.
Elise Stefanik has represented New York’s 21st District since replacing Bill Owens in 2015. At age 38, she resides in Schuylerville and continues to engage actively in legislative matters.
