Rep. Elise Stefanik, a U.S. Congress member representing New York’s 21st district since 2015, has expressed her views on recent events through a series of tweets. Born in Albany, New York, in 1984 and currently residing in Schuylerville, Stefanik is an alumna of Harvard University.
On June 1, 2025, Stefanik conveyed her distress over a violent incident in Boulder, Colorado. She stated: “I am heartbroken watching the footage of the horrific attack in Boulder, Colorado. A peaceful group of pro-Israel demonstrators holding a vigil for the hostages was reportedly attacked and set fire with Molotov cocktails by pro-Palestinian terrorists.”
The following day, June 2, she commented on media coverage related to incidents involving violence against Jews and academic institutions. She remarked: “The day after Jews were burned in the streets in America by a radical pro-Palestinian terrorist illegally in our country, @politico publishes a column about how former university President Liz Magill is the ‘first casualty’ in the war against elite universities.”
Later that same day, Stefanik made another statement concerning an organization known as CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations). She tweeted: “CAIR is a terrorist organization and should be designated as such by the U.S. government.”
Elise Stefanik has been actively involved in political discourse and legislative activities since replacing Bill Owens in Congress.
