The Health Officer will provide public health guidance to the city as needed, with responsibilities that may include offering input on community issues or assisting in evaluating properties that could pose health risks. The city said the position typically requires involvement zero to six times per year.

Compensation for the role is set at $1,500 annually. The city described the opportunity as best suited for someone interested in supporting public health efforts and giving back to the Glens Falls community.
