AngioDynamics has announced a revised strategy that will retain 40% of its workforce in Queensbury. This decision is seen as a positive development for the community and reflects the company’s commitment to the region.

Simpson commented, “AngioDynamics’ decision to retain 40% of its workforce in Queensbury is a promising development for the community and highlights the company’s commitment to the region. This move preserves valuable jobs and reinforces the importance of innovation in an evolving med-tech landscape.”

The decision comes after AngioDynamics had previously planned to shut down its Queensbury and Glens Falls facilities by the end of 2025. The strategic shift is attributed partly to the value of the local skilled workforce.

Simpson also stated, “Our region has a skilled workforce, which is incredibly valuable for companies like AngioDynamics, and the value of our local workforce is, in part, what drove this strategic shift. I commend AngioDynamics for finding a way to adapt after previously announcing that it would be shutting down its Queensbury and Glens Falls facilities by the end of 2025. As a result, well over 100 jobs will be saved.”
